About Us

Own Your Hormones

Own Your Hormones is a women’s health festival and education platform, built around a flagship festival in Johannesburg on 28 November. The festival brings together a full day conference with a curated agenda, expert speakers, and partner activation spaces, followed by After Flow, the cultural closing of the day where music, community, and celebration take over.

But Own Your Hormones does not begin and end on 28 November. Before and after the festival, you can expect free expert-led webinars, a podcast, and more. All of it connects back to the same belief: that hormone health education belongs in the spaces where women actually live, not just in a clinical waiting room.

And every festival ticket purchased sponsors a girl in an underserved community to attend a free hormone health workshop, including her lunch on the day.

From girls encountering this education for the first time, to established women who have been navigating their health without adequate support for years, there is a place for everyone inside Own Your Hormones.

Meaningful Events

Meaningful Events is a community building studio that creates intentional spaces for women and queer people navigating change. We design gatherings that are culturally grounded, intellectually honest, and rooted in real life.

Our work prioritises trust, care, and relevance. Every experience we create is held with the understanding that meaningful change happens when people feel safe, respected, and supported.

Own Your Hormones is our 2026 flagship campaign. It reflects everything we stand for: accuracy, accessibility, cultural accountability, and the belief that women’s health education is a community responsibility, not a clinical one.

Our Approach

Our work is intentional and research informed. We collaborate with experts, creatives, educators, and community leaders to ensure every experience is accurate, culturally relevant, and thoughtfully held. We design with care for both content and environment, blending education, reflection, and creative expression to support whole-person wellbeing.

We prioritise intimacy over scale and depth over performance. Our experiences are calm but impactful, reflective but mobilising, designed to resonate long after the event ends.
